Grady County is conveniently situated on the Georgia - Florida state line. Cairo, incorporated in 1870 and known as "The Hospitality City", is the county seat and is located 40 miles north of Tallahassee, Florida. Our area offers the best of two worlds: metro and rural. Our citizens are within easy travel distance to venues for Broadway productions, symphonies, art galleries and museums as well as major college sporting teams, yet, our citizens enjoy the sense of community, which comes from living in a rural setting where crime rates are low.
